Today we managed to recover, download and put back in place 26 Thelma Biotet Acoustic Receivers from our high precision array located in the Cíes Island (Spain).
This will allow us to expend our detection timeline and see which tagged species was present in the study array during the last six months.
At the moment three species are tagged with Thelma Biotel transmitters:
The thornback skate (Raja clavata)
The undulate skate (Raja undulata)
The small spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula)
Having long time series of presence/absence of these species in the Cíes Island is very important for research and conservation purposes.
